The 1st Annual Springs River Festival Chess Tournament was a huge success, with almost 100 enthusiastic kids filling the Miami Springs Women’s Club for a competitive day of tournament play. Children from Miami Springs Elementary and Springview Elementary Schools, as well as All Angels Academy and Miami Springs Middle School participated. A big thanks to the kids, the Women’s Club, and Tournament Director Chris Stormont of the Stormont Kings Chess Club. |
